Delhi Govt Grants Permission to IAF to Use Premises of 16 Schools For Defence Exercise

New Delhi: The Delhi government has granted the Indian Air Force to use the premises of 16 schools for an urgent defence exercise.
An order issued by the assistant director of education on April 28, titled “Permission to Use Premises of Schools for Delhi Integrated AIR Defence Activation for Urgent Air Force Exercise,” certain school buildings have been found suitable for temporary usage during the exercise being conducted from April 28 and May 2, 2025.
“This has the precedence from previous MoD activations during yearly National events (Republic and Independence Day Celebrations). Also, requested to issue suitable directions for providing adequate accommodation space (except catering facilities) for the personnel on site for rendering 24x7 operations during above cited exercise period,” says the order.
The 16 schools which have been identified have been directed to check the credentials (ID cards etc.) of the deployed Air warriors/officers in the school premises and the deployed staff by Air (HQ) will be allowed in school premises only after the proper verification.
