Strategic affairs analyst Srinath Raghavan discusses the Indus Water Treaty, Pakistan's response to the Simla agreement and India's attempts to diplomatically isolate Pakistan in a 25-minute interview to Karan Thapar for The Wire.

Raghavan said that he sees military action as a real possibility. "In fact, I believe we should be expecting such action. The steps that have been taken so far are preparatory and preliminary. There are various ways in which we can create pressure on Pakistan. Military action is one of them. We need to create a proper international consensus that India is entitled to act in self-defence in this matter,” he said.
