New Delhi: In this episode Dr Happymon Jacob speaks with Lt. Gen. Satish Dua (Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Retd.) to the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC)) who played a major role in the establishment of three ‘integrated functional commands’ i.e. special operations, cyber, and space.

The conversation looks at the importance of tri-service integration, history and current status of India’s efforts at integration, outstanding issues and what needs to be done in the future. The conversation also discusses the three new ‘integrated functional commands’ and whether these will adequately address India’s strategic environment.
