Meanwhile, Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s ruling coalition has lost its majority in parliament and the newly appointed finance minister has resigned a day after his appointment.
Amid the economic and political crisis, Sri Lanka’s cricket fraternity has expressed their solidarity with the people on social media.
Jacqueline Fernandez, who is from Sri Lanka, also addressed the issue in a recent Instagram post, saying that she hopes this situation will come to an end soon.
