New Delhi: Media baron and Ramoji Group chairman Cherukuri Ramoji Rao died at a hospital in Hyderabad early Saturday (June 8).
He was 87. He was admitted to Star Hospitals of Nanakramguda in Hyderabad.
According to news agency PTI, Rao was undergoing treatment for the past few days. He breathed his last at 4.50 am, according to ETV, Telangana, one of the Ramoji group channels.
The mortal remains were shifted to his residence in the Ramoji Film city on the city outskirts.
In 2016, he received the Padma Vibhushan, the nation's second-highest civilian award, in recognition of his contributions to journalism, literature, and education.
