Sumithra Shekar is a Tamil rapper from Dharavi, which apart from being Asia’s biggest slum, is also home to Mumbai’s emerging hip-hop scene. Shekhar is also the only female rapper in the neighbourhood and is confident about pursuing her music despite the lack of support from her family.
