Sharada Sinha has been honoured with many honours and awards like Padmashri, Padmabhushan, Sangeet Natak Akademi Samman, Bihar Government by Cinematra Award. She has sung hundreds of songs in Maithili, Bhojpuri and Bajjika. The few songs she had sing for Hindi Cinema are still fresh in the heart of listeners.

She recently also made a song for the film Gangs of Wasseypur, which came out a few years ago. Sharada Sinha's songs have also become synonymous with the occasion of Chhath Puja.
