Abrar Ali, a teacher who runs the Joint Mentor of Discipline (JMD) coaching center in Shakurpur, Delhi, claims that he and other Muslim teachers at the centre were abused and beaten by members of right-wing Hindutva organisations. The incident took place on July 4th. At around 3:30 PM, a dispute broke out between the teacher and the parents of the students over tuition fees during a phone call.

At around 7:30 PM that day, members of right-wing Hindutva organisations allegedly assaulted and beat the class teachers, accusing them of religious conversion and teaching the Quran and Kalmas in the JMD class. The class teachers denied these allegations.

Following the alleged assault, Ali had to be admitted to the hospital. Despite this, the Subhash Place police filed an FIR against the class teachers, who had been allegedly beaten up. The Wire tried to contact the police officials of Subhash Place regarding this matter but was unable to reach them. Watch the full ground report.
