In an interview with the The Wire, Francesca P. Albanese, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories says Israel’s actions in Gaza meet all markers of a genocide. She spells out exactly what it means and discusses what the world – including India – must do to prevent it.

Albanese was sanctioned recently by Washington on grounds of engaging in the International Criminal Court (ICC)’s efforts to investigate, arrest or prosecute “nationals of the United States or Israel” without the consent of either country. The move was widely decried.
