Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, comparing his ability to lie to that of Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels. Kharge remarked that Modi surpasses even Goebbels in falsehoods.

During a debate in the Rajya Sabha, Kharge also criticised Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Referring to Sitharaman’s education, Kharge stated that while her English and Hindi might be good, her deeds are not. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of disrespecting the Constitution.
