New Delhi: Ashraf Ali Syed Hussain, a 72-year-old man from Maharashtra, was falsely accused of carrying 'cow meat' on the train and brutally beaten by a group of youths on August 30 (Friday) while traveling from Jalgaon to Kalyan.

The group punched him in the face, chest, and stomach, hurled abuses, snatched his phone, and recorded the assault on multiple devices before posting it on social media. Following a complaint at the Thane Railway Police Station, three men were arrested.

A video of the incident went viral on social media platforms.
