Recently Kannada actor Kicha Sudeep made a statement saying Hindi is not the "national language". In reply to this, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn said that Hindi is the national language and it will always be. The success of South films like KGF Chapter 2 and RRR as compared to Hindi films has again intensified the Hindi versus 'regional languages' debate.
