Women are taking off their headscarves and cutting their hair in public and on social media to protest against mandatory hijab laws and the totalitarian regime.
This agitation, which has now spread across Iran, was triggered by the custodial death of a 22-year-old Kurdish woman, Mahsa Amini. Over 31 people have been killed during the state’s crackdown so far.
