Lok Sabha on Thursday passed the Bill to criminalise triple talaq. As per the Bill, a Muslim man deserting his wife with a triple talaq will now be imprisoned for three years. The Wire's senior editor Arfa Khanum Sherwani discusses the Bharatiya Janata Party's political plans around the Bill.
