Watch | Govt Plans Ban on Import of 101 Weapon Systems, but ‘Make in India’ Remains a Failure

Defence minister Rajnath Singh said that the Central government plans to impose restrictions on the import of 101 defence items, saying the decision has been taken as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign. He said the decision will provide huge opportunities to the domestic defence industry. He said that the list of 101 defence items marked for import restrictions includes cannon, assault rifle, transport aircraft etc.
