Teesta Setalvad interviews journalists Shaheen Khan and Nafisa Khan about the incident that occured on September 3 at Saket Police Station in New Delhi. The two journalists have alleged that they beaten by police for filming around the area for their report and that their mistreatment grew worse after police learnt that they were Muslim.

The incident occured when chief minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta was to inaugurate the Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital in Saket. Both journalists say they wanted to ask Gupta why an area was being cleaned up for a VIP visit.

Shaheen and Nafisa tell Setvalvad, a journalist, activist and human rights campaigner, that their journalism focuses on ordinary people's problems and civic issues. Their biggest demand now is for the Delhi Police to release the CCTV footage from the police station, saying it would show what really happened on that day.

This article went live on September eleventh, two thousand twenty six, at fifty-one minutes past one in the afternoon.
