Watch | Explainer: Where Does India Find Itself in the US and China's Plans for Asia?

Two geostrategic architectures of the modern day summarised.

Editor of Force Magazine, Pravin Sawhney, summarises two geostrategic architectures of the modern day.

One is run by the Chinese – the Asia-Pacific Model, and another, the Indo-Pacific Model run by the US.

He explains why the one led by the Americans is still “just a concept and has no strategy”. On the other hand, China is making space for itself not just through the One Belt, One Road initiative but also by providing digital architectures to nations via Huawei and BeiDou.

Between these two geo-strategies, Sawhney explains, India has not positioned itself well “which really puts India into a very difficult position”.
