In today’s episode of ‘Arfa ka India’, The Wire’s Arfa Khanum Sherwani analyses speeches made during the mahapanchayat held in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzzafarnagar by protesting farmers on September 5. The farmers in unison have given a call to “change the government that is incompetent”, firing salvos at the Yogi Adityanath and Narendra Modi governments.
The gathering, which saw an attendance of a large number of farmers from across the country, has vowed to campaign against and defeat BJP in the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The farmers also gave a bandh call for September 27.
