Watch | 'Vengeance Against Teesta Setalvad for Demanding Justice?'

Activist Teesta Setalvad and Gujarat former DGP R.B. Sreekumar were arrested, after being accused by the Gujarat Police of 'conspiracy' on their part to send 'innocent persons' to jail in the 2002 Gujarat riots case.

After the Supreme Court dismissed a petition appealing a lower court’s refusal to file a case against Narendra Modi for his alleged role in the 2002 Gujarat riots, the state’s police arrested one of the petitioners – activist Teesta Setalvad – for a “conspiracy to send innocent persons to jail”.

In this video, Siddharth Varadarajan, founding editor of The Wire, and Professor Apoorvanand of Delhi University discuss the issue at length.
