International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director General Rafael Mariano Grossi on Wednesday (June 24) said that the Iranian nuclear enrichment sites would be visited by inspectors from IAEA underlining that it is "important" but "not essential".

“Whether this happens the day after tomorrow or in one week or in ten days, it’s important, but not essential,” he told journalists in Tokyo, adding, “This is going to happen.”

However, Iran on Tuesday denied that it would allow international nuclear inspectors back into the country after US Vice President J.D. Vance suggested it on Monday.

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei mentioned that Iran has not met Grossi and has no clear schedule for any inspections.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the US Senate passed a war powers resolution to block military action against Iran by the US military, in a 50-48 vote that caught many off guard. It was the tenth time the Senate had attempted to halt the war started by US President Donald Trump along with Israel against Iran, and the first time it succeeded.
