New Delhi: Iran has concluded a two-day public farewell ceremony for its slain Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, ahead of a funeral procession in Tehran expected to draw millions. Khamenei will be laid to rest on July 9. Khamenei's sons appeared publicly to offer funeral prayers, although his son and successor, Mojtaba Khamenei, was absent over fears of an Israeli assassination attempt, Al Jazeera reported. Meanwhile, Israeli forces carried out air strikes on Nabatieh in southern Lebanon despite a US-brokered agreement signed with Lebanon last month aimed at ending hostilities.
