Day 136 of US-Israel War on Iran: Iran Reports Multiple Explosions Amid Renewed Hostilities From US
The US military has launched a fresh wave of attacks on Iran, saying it struck dozens of targets including air defence systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone facilities, and small boats. Iranian state media reported explosions in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Sirik, Jask and parts of Khuzestan province, and said one person was killed and four others injured in a US strike on an agricultural water pumping station in Mahshahr. Iran responded by launching missiles and drones at US-linked military facilities in Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait. Jordan said it intercepted four missiles fired from Iran, while Kuwait said its air defences engaged hostile aerial targets. The escalation has also rattled global markets, with Brent crude oil prices rising above $79 a barrel.
