New Delhi: The crisis in West Asia brought on by American-Israeli attack on Iran has entered day 37 on April 5 (Sunday). Iran claimed that it downed a US jet just as US President Donald Trump announced the successful rescue mission of a US officer who had been missing for two days. At least nine people were killed during the US rescue mission.

As all eyes remain on the war in Iran, Israeli attacks on Gaza and Lebanon continue. At least three Palestinians – one near the Maghazi refugee camp and two near Gaza city – were killed in Israeli strikes.

According to the National News Agency, Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon killed three and left several wounded.
