As the conflict in West Asia, triggered by the US and Israel's strikes on Iran spirals further, US President Donald Trump has said that the US has “the capability to go far longer ” than its projected four-to-five-week time frame for its military operations against Iran.

The US and Israel have continued to pound Iran since killing its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Tehran and its allies have hit back against Israel, targeting some sites in neighbouring Gulf states. More than 555 are said to have died in Iran alone.
