New Delhi: The crisis in West Asia triggered by the US and Israel’s war on Iran has entered day 66 on Monday (May 4).

In a social media post late Sunday, United States President Donald Trump announced that his government will launch 'Project Freedom' to “guide” stranded ships from the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said that “neutral and innocent” countries have been affected by the Iran war, and “we have told these Countries that we will guide their Ships safely out of these restricted Waterways, so that they can freely and ably get on with their business.” He also said that his representatives were having discussions with Iran that could lead to something “very positive for all.”

The project has come into force on Monday.

Meanwhile, Iranian officials have warned of military action against Trump's mission as they say it would be a violation of the ceasefire.
