New Delhi: As the US-Israel war on Iran enters its 69th day, US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that a deal with Iran could be reached quickly, after "he had very good talks” with Tehran, adding that “it’s very possible we’ll make a deal”.

Meanwhile, the ongoing instability in West Asia and concerns over global energy markets are set to take centre stage at the ASEAN Summit in Cebu. Adding to the war of words, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf ridiculed recent US military posturing online, sarcastically referring to it as “Operation Trust Me Bro” and declaring the approach unsuccessful.
