A fragile peace framework has held in the conflict in West Asia despite continued strikes into Lebanon by Israel and Tehran stressing the strategic relevance of the Strait of Hormuz. In the meantime, over 20,000 Indian seafarers working in the Gulf and Strait of Hormuz regions are said to be impacted by tensions in the region, as per the National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI).
