Indian Embassies in Tehran, Doha, Tel Aviv, and Abu Dhabi Issue Advisories as US-Israel Attack Iran

New Delhi: The Indian embassy in Iran's capital Tehran has issued an advisory for Indian nationals, urging them to exercise “utmost caution” and avoid going outdoors as Israel and the US launch strikes on Iran.

In a post on X, the embassy said that “all Indian nationals in Iran are advised to exercise utmost caution, avoid unnecessary movements and remain indoors as far as possible.”

The embassy asked Indians to monitor the news, maintain situational awareness and wait for further guidance from the Embassy of India.

The embassy also shared emergency contact details for people to reach out on: +989128109115, +989128109109, +989128109102 and +989932179359.

The Iran Embassy in New Delhi has also posted a message condemning the attack.

"The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran calls upon all freedom-loving and independent countries of the world to strongly condemn these attacks and to express their solidarity in support of the principles of national sovereignty, non-interference, and respect for international law," it has said.


The Indian embassy in Tel Aviv has similarly urged the residents to “exercise utmost caution and remain vigilant at all times”.

The embassy has issued a strong advice to Indians, asking them to "strictly adhere to the safety guidelines and instructions issued by the Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command."

"All Indian nationals should remain in close proximity to designated shelters and familiarize themselves with the nearest protected spaces in their area of residence or work," the Tel Aviv embassy said, adding that Indian nationals are advised to avoid all non-essential and unnecessary travel within Israel until further notice, keep an eye on local news, announcements and alerts.

In case of any emergency, Indian nationals will need to contact the following 24x7 helpline numbers +972-54-7520711 and +972-54-2428378, and the e-mail cons1.telaviv@mea.gov.in.

The Indian Embassy in Doha has also issued an advisory: "In view of the current regional situation, all Indian nationals in Qatar are advised to take due care, follow news and advisories as and when issued by the Embassy and local authorities."

Noting that the Doha embassy is continuing to function as usual, it has shared the following 24×7 helpline number – 00974-55647502 – and email – cons.doha@mea.gov.in.

The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has also issued a similar message.
