US President Donald Trump has not disappointed his critics since taking office, former foreign secretary Nirupama Rao told Amit Baruah. A cult of personality was being carefully cultivated by Trump, who had been very aggressive and nationalistic in his approach. For the first time since the 19th century, America had territorial ambitions, Rao said referring to Trump’s covetous remarks on Greenland and the Panama Canal.
