New Delhi: The mission against Iran has been completed, Israel’s top military spokesman has said in a statement on X.

“I can now confirm that we have concluded the Israeli response to Iran’s attacks against Israel,” IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a video address.

The Islamic’s Republic conducted missile attacks on Israel on October 1-2.

“We conducted targeted and precise strikes on military targets in Iran — thwarting immediate threats to the State of Israel,” he said.

“We have both the capability and the resolve to act decisively” and are prepared to defend Israel, Hagari added.

Al Jazeera reported Iran’s military as having said that Israeli strikes on military bases at Ilam, Khuzestan and Tehran provinces caused “limited damage.”

The report says a US National Security Council spokesman noted that Washington was aware of strikes – which it called an “exercise in self defence” – by its ally Israel but did not participate.
