New Delhi: Maldives on Tuesday (April 15) banned the entry of Israeli passport holders in the country by passing a bill in its parliament with unanimous votes from all the MPs who participated in the voting process.

Thereafter, Mohamed Muizzu, the President of Maldives, ratified the amendments to the country’s Immigration Act.

According to the President's Office website, the ratification of the Act “further demonstrates the stance of Maldives' government in response to the atrocities and ongoing acts of genocide committed by Israel against the people of Palestine,” reported The Edition.
