Heartfelt tributes were paid to boxer and civil rights campaigner Muhammed Ali at a memorial service for him on June 10, held in Louisville, Kentucky. Among those who spoke at the funeral were former president Bill Clinton, journalist Bryant Gumbel, actor Billy Crystal, the rabbi Michael Lerner, Malcolm X's daughter Attallah Shabazz, as well as some of his family members and other friends.

One of the speakers was Natasha Mundkur, a student and scholar at the Muhammad Ali Centre, Louisville. Through her thoughtful and poignant monologue, frequently punctuated by applause, Mundkur recreated the passion of Ali, and what it meant to become, and remain, "the greatest of all time".
