Day 82 of US-Israel War on Iran: 'A Comprehensive Ceasefire is of Utmost Urgency,' Says Chinese President Xi Jinping

This is Day 82 of the US-Israel war on Iran. Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi reportedly said that Tehran has gained military knowledge from previous hostilities while warning “a return to war will feature many more surprises.”

Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping said that “a comprehensive ceasefire is of utmost urgency" and "resuming hostilities" in West Asia "is even more inadvisable and maintaining negotiations is particularly important.” He made these remarks during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing.

On May 19, at least 19 people were killed and 17 wounded in Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon, the health ministry said.
