New Delhi: The US-Israel War on Iran entered day 87 on Monday (May 25). US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that a “pretty solid” proposal is currently on the table to end the war, adding that it has strong backing globally and within the Gulf region. Rubio accused the Hezbollah of carrying out a “deliberate campaign to destabilise” Lebanon amid ongoing clashes with Israeli forces positioned in the country’s south.

Meanwhile, Democratic US Senator Chris Murphy said that a potential deal to end the US-Israel war on Iran would be good news, but that “doesn’t mean we should be silent on how incompetent Trump is and how insane this war was from the start”.

Reuters has reported that two liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers have left the Strait of Hormuz and are headed to China and Pakistan.
