Unni’s new novel is at the crest of a wave of new writing in Malayalam which explores dark imaginations about life, politics and marks a break from the political-radical writers of the 70s.

Several of Riyas Komu's projects in the last decade have been instances of art-making in times of despair and darkness. His ongoing solo show in Bangalore, titled 'Out of Place', is no different.
