In April 2019, then chief justice of India Ranjan Gogoi was accused of sexual harassment by an employee of the Supreme Court. According to a leaked database accessed by Forbidden Stories and analysed by The Wire, 11 phone numbers related to the staffed who made the allegation were potential targets for an Indian client of the Israel-based NSO Group.
Since this revelation, questions are being raised on privacy, gender justice and the integrity of the judiciary. In this video, The Wire explains the matter and discusses the issues with lawyer and human rights activist Vrinda Grover.
