New Delhi: BJP MLA T Raja Singh Lodh said on Sunday, June 30, that it is important to elect 50 ‘staunch Hindu MPs’, who will fearlessly demand the creation of a ‘Hindu Rashtra’, in the parliament.

Singh, a controversial politician and a firebrand Hindutva face of the saffron party, made these comments while speaking at the concluding day of the Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav being held in Goa’s Ponda, reported Deccan Herald.

“These days, many politicians pretend to be staunch Hindu leaders. However, soon after winning the elections, they transform into secular individuals. Such MPs and MLAs are useless for establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Such ‘secular’ MPs who become secular after election results will oppose the demand for the ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Hence, it is imperative to elect 50 staunch Hindu MPs who will fearlessly demand ‘Hindu Rashtra’ in the Parliament,” said Singh on Sunday, reported Deccan Herald.

Singh, an MLA from the Goshamahal constituency of Telangana was attending the Mahotsav that was being organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

Singh also lashed out at what he termed the ‘politics of appeasement’, saying that this phenomenon had virtually crippled the Hindu Bharat and said that the younger generation should be encouraged to study hard and occupy important positions in the administration, so that they can contribute towards the cause of establishing a Hindu Rashtra.

The BJP MLA also advocated for performing regular spiritual practices to survive adverse times and establish a Hindu Rashtra, reported Deccan Herald.
