New Delhi: The Kerala unit of the Congress party has slammed the Union government over its decision to appoint Pradeep Kumar Joshi, chairperson of the National Testing Agency (NTA), to look into the controversy surrounding NEET results – since he was the one in charge of the agency conducting the exam.
“UNBELIEVABLE | Prof. Pradeep Kumar Joshi is the chairman of the National Patience Testing Agency @NTA_Exams which conducts NEET. After allegations on NEET Scam, Modi govt-appointed Mr. Pradeep Kumar Joshi appoints himself to investigate the case. Can you believe this? Is he another Ranjan Gogoi in the making? What does Modi think of the people? Are we all all fools?” wrote the Kerala unit of the Congress party on X (formerly Twitter).>

Along with the Congress party, several others on X wondered how the investigation could be fair when the head of NTA, which conducted NEET, is tasked with probing into allegations of irregularities of its own agency.>
There are allegations of big scam in NEET exam.>
Instead of holding Pradeep Kumar Joshi, NEET chairman, accoutable for this big scam, Modi Govt has made Pradeep Gupta head of NEET exam Investigation team.

Director General of NTA Subodh Singh in a press conference on June 8 had announced that a four-member committee would be set up to scrutinise the result of 1,600 students who were awarded grace marks. The committee is expected to submit its report by June 15.
“A high-powered committee has been set up to review the results of over 1,500 candidates. The four-member panel headed by a former UPSC chairman will submit its recommendations within a week and the results of these candidates might be revised,” Singh had said at a press conference in Delhi.>
